Get To Know Me

Square

My name is Kalbry Pearson. I am 19, and I am from the small town of McAuley located about as far west in Manitoba as you can get. I grew up on a ranch where I helped alongside my two parents and younger brother. We have about 2300 Simmental and commercial cross on our property annually. We raise and train quarter horses as well that we use on the ranch, but also for our leisure.

I grew up rodeoing from about the time I could hold myself up on a horse. I fell absolutely in love with barrel racing. I was fortunate enough to be mounted on very successful horses. In my achievements drop down, you will find some more information about this passion of mine. In grade 12, I began teaching barrel racing clinics for beginners and intermediates. This solidified the fact that I knew teaching would be right for me.

During middle years and high school, I took every opportunity that I could to play school sports. Every sport they offered, I played. I loved to lead my team and I was just that natural leader. I was so fortunate to be named captain for all of my sports teams but one in grades 11 & 12. Naturally, I also coached the female basketball teams when I was in grade 11 & 12. This also helped me decide teaching was a good choice for me because of the passion I had for it.
