Networked Learning
As EDTC comes to an end, I’ve been reflecting on truly how much I have learned and grown as a future educator throughout this course. I’m usually not very confident when it comes to the ever changing technology, so getting in some practice with Canva, Chat Gpt, Animated Drawings, and Code.org was extremely helpful in gaining confidence. At times, I worried about putting myself “out there” with my blog posts as I worried about potentially receiving negative feedback/comments. However, everyone was extremely kind and supportive. I have contributed to others learning by always being extremely honest and vulnerable in my posts. In doing so I was contributing to the learning environment. I feel like I have helped other people to be honest in that way. I believe that when we are our most honest and vulnerable with ourselves is when we do our best learning. Every week I was commenting on my classmates’ posts, always replying in a supportive and empathetic way to continue to build on our class’s positive learning environment and each classmate’s individual learning journey. I decided to put my examples of commenting on my peers blog posts in a google slide format linked down below.

As for discord I used it when I had questions I was wondering about or needed so guidance figuring out a problem I was having. I really lacked when it came to this. I feel like I really could have contributed more to the discord community. I do not want to sound like I am making up excuses but by the time that I would see the majority of the questions they were already answered perfectly by someone else or I really had no idea what the solution was, This is an area that I could have seen myself improving on.
My Overall Thoughts
I really am very happy with how I showed up for this course. I came to every class well prepared to talk in our break out rooms where I tried my best to contribute on everything I could. I shared my opinions well and conversed in a professional manner every time. I really enjoyed building such a stong community in this class and it has taught me the importance of connecting in the classroom with others. I really did learn so much this semester and cannot thank everyone enough!
