Class Summary 8

Class Summary 8

For this week’s class we started with going over how everyone’s placement went and how they felt about it, and to help get a feel for how everyone felt we did a poll guru which is always fun. Since this was the first class back from our break for placement, we did discuss a good amount of where we left things off last time we had the Zoom class, with the main topic being the fractions activity that we did (I got 100% on it).

Staying on the topic of the fraction assessment we did, as breakout groups we did go over how we would place each question in the blooms taxonomy, how hard it is, and how many points we would give it with a total of the points at the bottom. Afterward, we went over as a class how we felt about this assessment and where we would place students who were meeting expectations on a point scale, with most landing in the 250-270 range.

In part of the last portion of class, we covered the 5 lenses we need to consider with assessment, as well as some interview prep for the coming week as well as what we need ready for next class.
