Journey Towards Reconciliation

“Headdress of Healing”

For my aesthetic representation, I made a headdress which represents strength and bravery. I used the colour orange in the spirit of recognizing the families and victims of residential schools and missing and murdered children. Creating this headdress helped me learn and understand First Nations’ struggles and how it took strength and bravery for them to survive and prosper, which helped me move to the path towards reconciliation.
