2SLGBTQIA+ In The Classroom

Many years have gone on more and more people are being educated on important topics. In our society, we still do have people who don’t support 2SLGBTQIA+. In my classroom this is a topic that I will educate my students on. There are many ways that homophobic, transphobic, biphobic and oppressive can be addressed in the classroom. As a Future educator in primary education K- Grade 5. Teaching them about this is important at a young age. I will do so by having an open and comfortable classroom for all my students so they feel welcome and that they feel like they belong. I will also share stories about our history to show how far we have come.

Though these may not change homophobic, transphobic, biphobic and oppressive towards queer and trans people. It will shine a light on the problem and educate more important that it is okay to be different and feel comfortable in our own skin
