March 3 Cultural Relevancy and A Sense of Place

In the not-too-distant future, culturally relevant pedagogy will need to consider not just the various groups of children that we will be instructing but also the children’s families and their families’ expectations of the educational system. Even while it is impossible to meet everyone’s needs at all times, you still need to extend your perspective to account for the fact that society is constantly evolving and bringing new demographics, points of view, and expectations.

In the future, I will be able to adapt and change to meet the needs of my ever-evolving student population while also being a teacher who is as welcoming to all children as possible. Developing more profound, meaningful relationships with one’s parents can make the adjustment process more straightforward for people from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
