Hi there! My name is Kendra, and I’m the author of this blog.

I’m also a mom of two and a collector of many hobbies. I love to crochet, camp, and explore the outdoors. Before I was a student and a substitute teacher, I was a farm hand, a stay-at-home mom, a baker/cake designer, and an associate broker at a farm and ranch real estate company. I’ve kinda done a bit of everything over the years. Believe it or not, I even tried my hand at blogging while I was at home with my kiddos. Over at Spontaneously Creative, I shared recipes, crafts, and adventures my kiddos and I went on. The last time I posted on that blog my kiddos were 1 and 3, and now they’re 9 and 11, so it’s been a minute! I never bothered taking the blog down because I still reference it from time to time when I can’t find a specific recipe.

. When I found out that we would be blogging in this course, I was a little disappointed. I was really hoping for a course that would give me some technology tools to use in my future classroom, and blogging didn’t seem like the answer. However, I’m starting to wonder if blogging could be a fun and creative tool for students to utilize to demonstrate their understanding? I’m coming into this course with an open mind and look forward to dabbling in the world of blogging again.
