This min-unit approaches the Indigenous aspects of the grade 1 and 2 art curriculum through the lens of the Seven Sacred Teachings. Each lesson brings Indigenous voices into the classroom by utilizing videos of Indigenous storytellers, musicians, and dancers. These lessons could be further enriched by bringing Elders and Knowledge Keepers into the classroom to share their culture and teachings.
