As EDTC 300 comes to an end, I want to take the time to talk about how I have contributed to the learning during this course.
I have created a Google Slideshow to group together all my screenshots from comments that I have made on other people’s blog posts and engaging with the discord community. I have not included all the comments I made over the semester because that would be a lot, but I did include enough to show sufficient evidence that I was a active participant in commenting.
Every week, I was consistent with posting my weekly assigned blog post, as well as my learning project post. I never posted late and honestly always posted before the due date. I feel like this contributed to my peers learning because my posts were always up and ready to be commented on. I enjoyed reading the comments my peers would leave me on my posts. The comments were always comments of encouragement or validation on my opinions. I took the time to read through every comment that was made on my post to really try to hear and understand what my peers had to say about my ideas. I wasn’t asked any questions in the comments of my blog posts so I didn’t feel like it was necessary to reply back to those comments.
I found it extremely easy to comment on my peers weekly learning posts. They were so fun to read and I enjoyed going along a few of my peer’s journey’s. I found it really hard to keep up with commenting on weekly assigned blog posts. I didn’t comment on as nearly as many weekly assigned blog posts as I did the learning projects posts.
I tried my hardest to engage in the discord. I did a few times by answering questions, encouraging people and clarifying confusion. I did not check it often and sometimes when I was in the middle of typing out an answer for someone, one of my peers would beat me to the question. I could have done some more resource sharing on discord but it always slipped my mind.
Overall, I feel like I did the best I could with contributing to the learning of others. I participated in commenting 3-5 times a week while also engaging in the discord when I felt like I could!
