Summary of Learning: Growing as a Connected Educator

As EDTC 300 comes to a close, I’ve taken some time to reflect on just how much I’ve learned, explored, and grown throughout this course. From understanding what it means to be a digital citizen to experimenting with new tech tools, this class has opened my eyes to the real role educational technology plays, not just in classrooms, but in shaping thoughtful, connected, and critical learners.

For my final project, I created a PechaKucha-style presentation to summarize and reflect on my learning journey. The format challenged me to keep things concise and visual, with each of the 20 slides advancing every 20 seconds. It’s a fast-paced but meaningful look back at the ideas, tools, and moments that shaped my thinking. I was introduced to Pecha Kucha in my EFDN 308 class I took this spring semester as well.

This course helped me shift from just using technology to thinking more deeply about how and why we use it in education. I now feel more prepared to help students navigate the digital world, and I’m excited to continue growing my skills and knowledge as a future educator.

Thank you to everyone who read my posts, shared feedback, or inspired me along the way. This has been a truly eye-opening and empowering experience.

I’d love to hear what your biggest takeaway from EDTC 300 was, or what tools or ideas you’re most excited to bring into your future classroom!
