Why I’m a Teacher

I’d love to say that I had a calling from birth to be a teacher, but in reality I didn’t know what I wanted to be even when I was entering university. I have always had a passion for math and later in my high school journey found that I enjoy physics as well. The reason I ended up going into education was because of the feeling you get when you help someone learn something. That has turned out to be the right decision as my passion for teaching has only grown since then.

As a teacher I want to help students unlock their full potentials in subject areas that are often considered hard and strenuous. I believe that anyone can understand both math and physics and I want students to be able to unlock that ability in my classrooms. I also feel that as a teacher I have a part to play in helping students succeed outside of high school. I want to help set students up for success through my teaching and classroom environment. By doing this I feel that I am doing my part in making the world a better place.

Oh and also I just want to be the cool math teacher.
