Hi everyone & welcome to my blog!
My name is Kerina Gottselig. I am in my final year and semester of the BEAD program, with a major in Pre-K to 5 Elementary Education. My favourite grade to teach so far is Kindergarten. When I am not at school, you can find me doing yoga, watching Netflix documentaries, at the Pilates studio, or spending time with my husband.
Fun fact… my husband is also a teacher, but he teaches high school math! Another fun fact is that he actually took this course quite a long time ago and made a very funny video of him singing a song in Spanish for his Learning Project. I came across this video on YouTube shortly after I met him and I laughed for hours when I saw it. It is most likely one of the reasons I ended up deciding to marry him! We have been married for just over one year and we went to Banff for our honey moon.
I am not very experienced when it comes to educational technology. I would call myself a “blogging newbie”. The closest thing I ever made to a blog was a website I made when I was in high school to share recipes I created. I did not use the website as much as I originally thought, but setting it up was still a useful experience. The platform I used for my website was Weebly. I did some digging around and found my cringey website! You can check it out using the link above. Please try not to judge too hard… as I was about 18 when I made it! I would say one of my biggest fears when it comes to blogging is to not sound cringey. I want to do my best to sound like my authentic self.
