This week, I decided to try a different way of learning rebounding and improving my skills. I wanted to really focus on going to classes in-person this week and learning from the instructors at Session. To be honest, rebounding at home has been a bit challenging and I really miss jumping in person at my gym.
Challenges I’ve Had Rebounding at Home
- Lonely 🙁
- I miss the energy of having other people in the room jumping alongside me
- Less motivating because I have to motivate myself throughout
- I miss the aesthetic nature of the space at Session
- I can put off doing my workout because it isn’t signed up to start at a certain time like an in-person class
- It’s easy to just hit pause and take breaks because nobody can see me or not go as hard
Let’s talk about my favourite combo of this week! This combo was an intermediate one. I found it really challenging, but also doable. For the first time, I feel like I am really improving at the single leg balancing. At one point, I jumped on the same foot three times in a row and that was a move that would have really got me before I started this project! It’s really rewarding to see my progress.
I took this video at home after learning this combo in person. Check out the combo!
On a side note, I hit 100 classes in studio this week which was really rewarding and a huge accomplishment for me! I’m looking forward to continuing my rebounding journey and also getting back into the at-home learning journey next week.
Hi Kerina, I liked your post because you mentioned your challenges while rebounding at home. I think that a lot of people would relate to your post!
I can say I have officially learned what rebounding is. This looks very intriguing, and though you kind of went through a slump, I am glad you are getting back to things. I hope your motivation keeps up and you can expand your techniques
Congrats on your progress! I’m so glad you’re having fun with your journey and venturing out again!
Wow, hitting 100 classes in the studio is such an amazing accomplishment. Congrats!! I really like how you’re recognizing both the challenges and rewards of rebounding at home versus in-person. It’s awesome that you’re seeing progress, especially with the single-leg balancing! I find that soooo difficult. Can’t wait to see how your journey continues!
Congrats on hitting 100 classes, that’s such an amazing accomplishment! It’s awesome to hear you’re making progress with your rebounding skills, especially with the single leg balancing. I totally understand how motivating in-person classes can be, but it’s great that you’re pushing through and making it work at home too. Keep it up!
