My fourth field placement happened to fall on Halloween! The school had planned events for Halloween and so did the cooperating teacher. For ELA she used Halloween themed words and then let them colour Halloween pictures. Then after recess we got to take a group and carve pumpkins!

Another highlight was during the 7th week when we got to go to Agribition with the class. The students got to go to the petting zoo and learn about farm animals. Then they got to meet the rodeo clown and learn about what rodeos are and how they work. I was really glad that I had the opportunity to see the students learning outside the four walls of the classroom. I believe that immersing yourself in the environment you are learning about is not only a fun experience but one of the best ways to learn!
