Question A)
I believe schools still use the Tyler approach and that in mine high school and elementary school experience, it was used. In certain situations some of my teachers would give them option, or let us vote whether we wanted to do a final exam or a final project. Although throughout the year we still followed the curriculum, but it was great to be able to have the option. Tests are hard for me, it’s hard to stuff all the information in your head, when it’s easy to forget parts. But in a final project you can re look, take more time to review everything you have learned and put it into one project.
Question B)
The Tyler Rationale, gives big limitations. Each student has different learning styles, so if schools only practiced the Tyler rationale, the students that don’t benefit from this learning style will struggle to succeed in school. Each child needs to be given the same learning opportunities , and the education system needs to give the option that fits all learning ability’s.
Question C)
the Tyler rationale, is very set out, planned, specific but as the student they will not know what they are learning or being marked on. Tyler’s rationale is very clear, so for the students it works for they be able to do very well in their studies.
