LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
As a resident of the Treaty 4 territory, I want to acknowledge this land, which is the traditional territory of the Anihšinābēk, Nêhiyawak, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakota Peoples and the original home of the Métis Nation. I am aware of the treaties made on this land. I acknowldeg the harms and mistakes of the past. As a treaty person and as a teacher, I strive to build my understanding of the Indigenous peoples as I participate in the truth and reconciliation in the classroom, and in partnership with Indigenous peoples. I am aware of the rights and resources available to me on this land. With respect and harmony to the land and its people, it is my responsibility to care for the land and its people.
