Why become a teacher?
As a current dance teacher, my biggest accomplishment is my students success. It brings me such joy to see a student achieve their goals, realize their full potential, and gain new skills. I have always wanted to make a difference in my students’ lives, as my teachers had done for me.
My dance teacher, Paulette Puetz, changed my life the minute I stepped into my first dance class. She knew I had a natural talent and passion for the arts. She offered me every opportunity she could to become a better dancer, as well as a better person. There is no way that I could repay her for the all lessons and gifts that she has provided for me. However, I can be a “Paulette” for my students. She still holds a very special place in my heart. She is more than just my dance teacher. She is a mentor, a friend, and a second mom. I feel as if I am a part of her family; her daughters are my “sisters”. I want to build relationships with my students that will last a lifetime, and hopefully inspire them to help others and make a difference; even if it is not in a classroom.
