Knitting with your FINGERS!!

This week I was able to complete my scarf (yahoo)! I am very happy with my end result. I never realized how much time has to go into knitting and at first I viewed knitting as a class assignment that I had to finish and now I see it as a relaxing hobby. I was fortunate enough to learn this skill purely online which I think has been the best part of all. I never would have learned this skill if it wasn’t for his class. 

Similar to my last post, I am still knitting my scarf with the garter stitch. This pushed me to think of new ideas for my learning project. This idea actually came from my mom. As I was telling her about this learning project she suggested that I learn to knit with my fingers. I was so confused and thought that this would be impossible!! Little did I know….. moms do know best! I went online and searched for websites and videos that could teach me how to knit with my fingers. After further reflecting on this video I thought how cool it was to learn how to knit with only using your fingers! The reason being, was because I could easily be taken into a classroom. If a school is low on budget or simply did not have the resources to supply all students with knitting needles they don’t have to give up! I am so thankful my mom introduced me to this cool way of learning that can. be implemented and taught in any classroom!
