First Yoga Session of Core Building (Week 3 of Class)

I have decided to do yoga for my learning project. Yoga is not something that I do regularly or have a lot of experience with. Hopefully this learning project will help me do it regularly! I decided to do yoga as it is beneficial for my body, but also my mind. I am excited to see what I can accomplish this semester. I am going to make a goal of doing yoga three times a week, every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. Sunday is going to be focused on my core, Wednesday on strengthening my hamstrings, and Friday will be equestrian yoga as I have horses and I am always aiming to improve my riding. I will cycle through YouTube, TikTok, FaceBook, and Instagram throughout the course. Each week will be dedicated to one social media platform. This week will be YouTube.

For me, an ultimate goal would be to be able to do the yoga position called “downward dog” correctly. As of right now, it is very difficult to hold the position, my legs are cramped underneath me and my heals are off the ground. Ideally, the position should be easy to hold, with my legs extended and my heels on the ground.

I just completed my first core session and wow! It was difficult! When I do get the inspiration to do yoga or any type of work out session it is always harder than I anticipate which makes me give up. However, I completed the session which I am very happy about! The video I watched is a 12 minute Core Conditioning with Adriene. I found the video to be very relaxing while effectively working my body.

As of right now, I do not have any pictures to add but hopefully I can take some and add them to this post!

Thanks for reading.
