Who Knew Yoga Could Be so Dirty?

Literally, yoga is dirty. Every time I do yoga I realize how much I need to vacuum my floor. I promise I clean, but once I’m done doing a session of yoga, my mat and me are covered in hair. I don’t even have pets living with me right now! Well, to tell the truth it’s mostly my hair but I don’t even know how I lose so much! Onto actual yoga now….

This week I went back to Yoga with Adriene on YouTube. I did a 20 minute feel good flow and wow did it have me sweating (might have something to do with the heat finally being turned on in my building). I just really like Adriene’s videos, plus her dog is in everyone of her videos. Maybe one day I’ll look as effortless as she does.

I did a ton of poses in Adrien’s video but I chose to show these two. Both are lunging poses, but the one on the left I twisted my body so my right arm is touching my left knee (I apologize about the poor picture quality!) This video was definitely more advanced that what I am used to but it felt great nonetheless. Also if anyone has any tips on how to take better pictures of me doing yoga it would be much appreciated! I usually just prop my phone up, put it on video and screenshot the pictures I want. However, I can never seem to capture my whole body doing the pose.

Thanks for following my journey so far!

    Hi Meghan,
It is interesting to see how you are performing. Particularly, as Ava commented, I would have love to incorporate Yoga in my daily routine, but I cannot because of time constraint. Nevertheless, I am happy that you are seeing some changes in your body. Keep continuing!

The floor hair is definitely a real struggle in yoga haha. Do you feel like doing yoga has helped you get strong or have better endurance? It’s something I’ve been interested in incorporating into my workout routine. I hope your enjoying your journey and I’m excited to see the cool poses you’ll continue to learn!

I definitely am noticing a difference when holding poses, I find I can hold them for longer and with more ease. It would be interesting to see how my body would change if I did yoga everyday. But regardless, its so rewarding to see even the smallest of changes!
