EDTC300,  Learning Project

Alright, It’s Time to Learn How to Cook!

Welcome! Glad you can experience this journey with me!

I am very excited to begin this learning project for the semester and finally learn how to cook. This is a great way to not make anymore excuses. I have been wanting to learn how to cook for a little while now but never had the ‘time’ or in reality never wanted to put in the effort and try. However, now with this project I cannot wait to begin and document my progress throughout the next few months.

Learning how to cook always made me think it was too much work. Buying the ingredients, waiting, prepping, it all seemed like a long tiring process. Now that I am growing up I think it is time to get into the kitchen, perhaps make some meals for my parents, and learn how to cook. There have been times where I would see a recipe and think to myself that this would be a pretty tasty dish, but there is one problem.. I can’t cook! Hopefully by the end of the semester I will be able to cook meals for myself and my family as well and learn from this journey. Throughout the weeks I will be picking a dish, whether it be a side dish or a main course to make. I will be getting my resources from online such as, videos, websites, social media and as well as from people that I know. I am taking this time to finally cook with my grandma and learn how to make some delicious Italian meals! I have always wanted to learn how to make pasta, pizza from scratch and now I can! With this experience I will not only be benefiting from it but I will be experiencing some of it with my grandma who has always wanted to teach me! Let the journey begin!

    Hi Melina
Your blog is looking great. I love the idea you chose for your learning project. As you become more comfortable it would be great to learn some family recipes also.
