Education

I attended pre-school to grade eight in a small town in Manitoba called Niverville, located 40km south of Winnipeg. The town had a population of fewer than 5,000 people which made the school and classrooms relatively small. Because of this, the same group of kids stuck together all throughout elementary school. We rarely had new students join or current students leave.

I spent my kindergarten to grade four years at Niverville Elementary school. When I started grade three, the elementary school had started to grow too big to fit the number of students and so the grade 5 students would start at the high school, Niverville Collegiate Institute, or NCI (now Niverville Middle School). When my grade five class moved to NCI the school did not yet have enough classrooms for our grade and we actually spent the first month of that year being taught out of the church basement across the street.

After grade eight, my family moved from Niverville, Manitoba to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, which is where I started high school. I attended Vanier Collegiate Institue from grades nine to twelve and graduated with Honour Roll in June of 2021.
