My name is Memphis Peters. I was born in Yellow Knife, NWT, and grew up in Niverville, Manitoba before moving to my current location of Moose Jaw, SK. I am currently attending the University of Regina in Saskatchewan as a Faculty of Education student majoring in English Education. My goal is to graduate with my degree and become a high school English teacher.

In high school, my favourite subjects were English and History and because I enjoyed them so much I decided I wanted to make a career out of it. I like to read and write and spend time outdoors or with my cat… when I’m not doing homework.

My inspiration for wanting to become a teacher is Mr. George Feeny from the 90s tv show “Boy Meets World.” He always had great advice, was there for his students, and managed to make connections with his students that helped them enjoy their high school education. I want to be able to teach to help inspire students and prepare them for life after high school.
