About Me

Hello! My name is Nadia Ermel. I am a first year education student at the University of Regina. I am 19 years old and before coming to the University of Regina, I did a year ay the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. I ultimately decided I wanted to be a teacher when I realized how much I missed teaching kids how to skate.

Though out my life one activity I enjoy is figure skating but more than that is teaching kids how to skate. since i was about 11 or 12, I have helped out in my hometown skating club. when I got my driver’s licence, I started teaching learn-to-skate programs in Southey, Earl Grey and Bulyea. looking back now, I loved reaching the kids and watching them progress though out the skating season.

I am from a small town called Cupar, which is about 45 minutes northeast of Regina. I have two siblings, an older brother and a twin sister. My parents are grain and cattle farmers and I  have grown up around many different animals and different machinery. When I’m home I help out with the day to day operations of the farm and I also help out during harvest each year. I spent a lot of time at the farm growing up, which gave me opportunities to spend time with my grandparents. I learned how to bake from my grandma and how to feed the cows some hay from my grandpa.
