Ursu is excited to host pride events and partner with UR Pride as part of Pride Month today.  It is vital that we all have the opportunity to share our challenges, worries, concerns, and happiness with one another. June is both pride month and Indigenous heritage month. It’s important that more than words, we work together to work towards liberation from homophobia, transphobia, colonialism, racism and other forms of discrimination. We also must recognize that these identities are intersectional.URSU for a long time has needed to do more work with regard to equity and supporting the diverse communities that make up the student body, and URSU’s membership. Equality and freedom from discrimination are fundamental human rights that belong to all individuals, regardless of our identities. We hope to continue to grow and learn together and work together to make real change in the University of Regina community.
