  • Group Members: Nahanni Adams-Lindberg, Alannah Uliski, Erica Wilson, Hannah Metheral, Nadia Leviste, and Joshua Gampe
  • Summary: Chapters 5 & 6
    • Ch. 5 – Our group talked about the triangulation and how useful this method of evidence is for forming assessment.  I really like how evidence from the observations, conversations, and products are collected over time to use as a reference and resource.  Collecting evidence by using this method of the triangulation I believe would help keep the teacher stay organized, critique what worked and what didn’t for the assessments styles for each lesson, and which style works best for them.  I also believe that having conversations about assessment with colleagues gives you support and more knowledge on assessment.
    • Ch.6 – For ch.6, our group talked about how involving students in the assessment makes the students feel included and have their voices heard.  We also believe that with self and peer assessments this evolves being student lead which builds skills for students, such as being accountable for what to do or what is expected.  Our experiences as a group with self and peer assessment we believe gives students more options by changing up these methods.  Lastly, we talked about by having a student lead focus this builds another skill, such as good life skills with being accountable for setting their own goals.
  • Team Functioning: 8/10, our group worked better with figuring out who was doing what and more organized.  We worked as great team players with our group work and participation, and we finished our group discussion on time.  The group members were thoughtful for the Learning Circle Self-Assessment & Peer Group Assessment.
