Professional Learning

For my Pre-Internship field placement I got to spend seven weeks in a K-3 PALS classroom, which stands for Program for Autistic Language Support. This was such a rich learning experience and opened my eyes to the world of Inclusive education. I will be forever grateful for this experience for it has taught me that each student’s mind is brilliant in different ways. After my time in this classroom I can confidently say that not only would I be comfortable with having an exceptional student in my class, but I would be thrilled and excited to have the opportunity to teach them. Diversity in the classroom is an asset, not a liability.
