We were given an assignment that gave us the chance to go outside and just have time to slow down and experience our surroundings. There were four tasks that we were given: follow a path, find a sit spot, map your emotions, and find a view from a different perspective

Follow a Path
This picture was taken outside of the school that I did my field placement at. After taking this picture, I followed this path which led to the school playground.
Sitting Spot
To get this picture, I pulled my car over and quickly (and cautiously) ran on the highway to get this specific shot. Some of my best thinking times are while I am driving, where I often think about my life and future.
Map your Emotions
This bookshelf is full of memorabilia. It contains some of my favorite books, my grad corsage, my husband’s boutonniere, bottle camps from Africa, rocks from California, roses my husband gave me before we got married, among other things. My favorite piece on the book shelf is the display case with the bracelets in it. Each bracelet is from different places around the world that either I, or my family and friends have traveled to. It brings me happiness and joy.
View from a Different Perspective
This is my pet Betta fish, Finley. I bought him as a birthday present to myself. Although I would never want to have the life of a fish, it was fun to try and see what his view outside the fishbowl was, which can kind of be seen if you look at the blurry board in the background that has my husband’s and my name on it.
