This package is a collection of resources that is intended to be supplementary material for the Treaty Rights / the Rights of Indigenous peoples unit in Social Studies classes under the goals of Interactions and Interdependence and Power and Authority.
The overall goals of this package are to raise students` awareness and help them in understanding Treaty Rights and the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, honour interdependence, and encourage students in taking steps towards reconciliation, which will lead to sociocultural responsiveness and equality. The goal is Sociocultural Responsiveness and Equality.
