Week 6: Bowl of Comfort- Soup for Cold Days!
Since the weather has been getting colder it’s now a perfect time to make soup recipes! For this week in my learning project I decided to make a cheeseburger soup. I had some ingredients in my fridge I had to use up and this was the perfect soup to incorporate them all. I ended up using an app called Yummly, I found it really easy to follow even though it was different then using a video created recipe like I have been doing for most of my previous weeks.
I would suggest this app to beginners as it is very easy to figure out and find recipes on! The nice thing about this app is you don’t have to pay for an account or even sign in so it is very accessible, I had tried a bunch of apps before actually using this one and this one had the most options for a variety of recipes while being one of the only ones that you don’t have to subscribe to so I found it very helpful.
While making this week’s project I found the most time consuming part was prepping everything to go into the soup so it definitely took me a while to make but it was worth it in the end as I had made a large amount and ended up freezing a lot, which is perfect for another time when I don’t have much time to make a good meal. Below I have the process documented!
This soup definitely lived up to my expectations it was so good and very cheesy! After using the Yummly app this week and having a good experience with it I plan to use it for other learning project weeks to see what other cool recipes others have posted on it and see what other new recipes to try that I have never made before
