I have a confession…
Remember how last week I was determined to practice regularly over the course of the next week?
… well I didn’t. Normally, I would beat myself up and feel guilty about this, but instead, I’m trying to remind myself that progress is not linear!
So what am I going to blog about this week? The notes on the cello as I continue to get comfortable with them!
Here is a quick video that I put together explaining the cello notes in first position:
Note: I thought I’d try something else new so I made this video on TikTok. I’m pretty happy with how simple it was to record!
Next week’s goal is to work on a new song and try a new medium to make a video of it! I’m hoping that this will help me get back on track with my progress. It’s also something I’ve always wanted to try… we will see how it turns out!
Hi Jenni,
I appreciate the transparency of your learning progress. The realistic success arrow reminded me of one of my favourite memes. It shows perfect stitching on the front of some fabric, and then the intricate mess behind the scenes. Learning is a messy, nonlinear process. Your TikTok video turned out great, though! I still have some trepidations about TikTok, but its user-friendly video-making features demonstrate why it’s a top-level app.
