Networking
Networking in education is so important. We all have so much to offer to one another, and this is a job that is impossible to do on your own. Thankfully, this course has helped me try new things and bounce ideas off of some phenomenal classmates 🙂
HERE is where you can find evidence of that.
Struggles
I did struggle to make sure I checked everyone’s blogs and tried to comment on each one. The best thing I could do to help with this was to set aside a time each week to do this (and put it in my calendar so I wouldn’t forget!)
I also struggled to give a lot in the Discord chat, but I did take a lot away from there. I am very appreciative of my colleagues who shared great lessons and tools in it. I’ve been using WeWillWrite in a lot of the classrooms I go into, and teachers are very happy with it.
Successes
At the very beginning of the semester, I assisted a classmate with getting their blog set up. Walking through it was a good refresher for me (I really struggled with WordPress at the beginning), and it also helped me find the best way to create categories for my own blog.
My classmate’s use of AI also helped me! I kept forgetting to utilize these tools for myself in this class. Better late than never, I used ChatGPT to help me come up with an outline for my post about Digital Activism. It helped me get all of my ideas down in an order that made sense for the readers.
THANK YOU!
Thanks to my classmates and instructor for helping me get the most out of this class. I’ve found so much more confidence in my own ability and knowledge, and have so many things that I can take with me into my career and my personal life!
