“Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.” –Malcolm X
Greetings! I’m Priyanka. After spending several years in India, where I gained both personal and professional experiences, my family and I moved to Saskatoon in 2022. I have always been deeply committed to community service and teaching, and my early volunteer work in local schools further inspired me to pursue my passion for education.
Despite societal challenges in a conservative environment, my father’s support allowed me to excel academically, earning degrees in Bachelor of Arts (B.A), Master of Science in Mathematics (M.Sc.), and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from Panjab University. I am known for my innovative teaching methods and my supportive, caring approach to helping students succeed in mathematics.”The Math-ish way”.
I had spent 19 years teaching Mathematics in public schools, despite facing gender bias and discrimination. I witnessed the positive transformation of underprivileged special-needs children as education became more inclusive through collaboration.
With my family’s unwavering support, I obtained CIET from U of R and my teaching license and have been working as a substitute teacher with Saskatoon Public Schools, Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools, and Prairie Spirit School Division. I am also a certified Early Childhood Educator (ECE-II). Guiding young children to learn and achieve their goals brings me immense joy—I believe education is not just about what U know, but about who R becoming. I am continually inspired by children’s curiosity and progress as I explore innovative ways to support their growth and well-being
