My name is Raine Chornomitz and I am on my journey towards becoming an elementary teacher! I grew up all my life in Annaheim, SK, and I currently reside in Regina where I am going to school. I decided that I wanted to be a teacher in grade 12. I originally wanted to be an educational assistant, but I was encouraged by many to take the step to become a teacher and I’m so glad that I did! When I was younger, I would make my older sister play “school” with me and I would print out math sheets from the internet and make her do them. It is safe to say that my passion for teaching started when I was young!
Some passions of mine include helping others, spending time with my family, friends, and pets, adventuring, nature walks, trying new things, baking/cooking, and definitely spending time outdoors. Three of my main goals for the next five years are to get my bachelor’s degree in education degree and get a job, buy land for my dream home with my boyfriend, and to get married!
I am so excited to continue to grow into the best teacher that I can be, and I can not wait to see where this career takes me!
