Implementing the nine elements of digital citizenship in grade 6

I was thinking of a way to connect Ribble’s nine elements of digital citizenship with grade 6, and I found USC6.2  outcome in health education fits this purpose especially with indicators A and I.

Teacher will start conversations with students about how online communication can be similar/different to real life, and why we should maintain healthy relationships with people whether we are online or in person.

Teacher might as questions like:

What are the consequences of not having healthy relationships with people online, and in real life?

What is the difference between digital etiquette and real life etiquette in terms of respect for the values, beliefs, standards, and/or perspectives of people from diverse backgrounds?

What are the characteristics of healthy relationships online and in person?

what do you think? Is there anything I can add to the conversation? please share your thought!

Hi Rami! I also explored the grade 6 curriculum! I think having those essential questions that you do are so great. Like we talked about last week, having the ability to give students problem solving opportunities and developing their own sense of self and identity while exploring your essential questions is SO important! Way to go, Rami!
