In the article it explains that marking is both similar and different for queer sexual identity. It can give those a sense of identity so they don’t have to choose, they can be gender fluid or non-binary and still have a term that represents them. Identifying as queer can mean something different to each person who identifies that way. As people and future educators we should acknowledge that those of identify as queer are not all the same.
