Professional Background:

I spent the first eight years of my career in the classroom. I taught in three different school divisions and multiple grade levels. In my ninth year I moved into my new role as principal, as well as continuing to teach in the classroom. As an educator, I have had the privilege of shaping the educational journey of countless individuals. My commitment to fostering a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment has been a driving force throughout my career.

The Love of Learning:

My enthusiasm for learning extends far beyond the walls of the classroom. I am an avid reader, constantly exploring new horizons through literature and seeking to expand my knowledge. This passion for learning serves as a constant source of inspiration for both my personal and professional growth.

A Unique Perspective:

In a unique twist to my career, I have had the opportunity to work on a Hutterite colony, an experience that has broadened my cultural awareness and enriched my understanding of communal living. This experience has underscored the importance of diversity and inclusivity in education and has shaped my teaching philosophy.

Personal Life:

Outside of my professional endeavors, I am happily married and share my life with two wonderful dogs, who remind me daily of the joy and simplicity that life can bring.
