Artist in Schools Projects

When I completed my BFA in 2001, I worked as the art teacher with Regina’s Fine Arts Pre-School Co-op. It was at this time that I took on my first role as an artist educator within Regina Public Schools, as an artist with Learning Through the Arts (now CREATE). This experience had a lasting impact on me and informed my service as an arts administrator with Saskatchewan arts organizations and artist within communities.

As an artist and cultural worker, education has always been a foundation for how I see my role within the community.

In developing projects, programming, and even in strategic planning for art organizations, I begin by asking how we can build community engagement and access to (and through) the arts.

Artist in Schools & Communities

I’ve had the opportunity, through funding from the SK Arts Board to create with young people and communities through their Artist in School and Artist in Communities Project grants.
