Truth and Reconciliation

My aesthetic response represent an Indigenous person who has lived through a life of pain and distraught. As they grow with age they are reflecting on the life of their childhood and the residential school they had to overcome. They think about getting taken away from their family, their hair being cut off, being referred to as a number, and how they were captive at the schools like they were in prison. The lack of colour I used represents how the individuals childhood and past was not a happy one.
