    Summary of Learning

Wow! I can’t believe how fast this semester went by! I’ve learned so much more than I thought I would going into this course and I am so excited to bring this learning into my future classroom. Check out the video I made using Canva below (sorry it’s a little long!):

    Networked Learning Reflection

When we first started this class, I knew that part of the experience was about building community – engaging with classmates, sharing resources, and learning together. I really wanted to be that supportive peer who left encouraging comments, asked great follow-up questions, and contributed to meaningful conversations. But if I’m being honest, that didn’t happen as much as I’d hoped. Between balancing three Spring courses, work, kids, and everything else life threw at me, I found myself barely keeping up with my own learning. Learning Project: Wrap Up & Reflection

When I first started this learning project, I honestly wasn’t sure how it would go. I’ve always wanted to have a consistent fitness routine—but between work, school, mom life, and general exhaustion, it just never stuck. I’d start strong, feel motivated for a week or two, and then fall off track when things got busy (which they always do). Most of my workouts were random, sporadic, and usually cut short because I didn’t really know what to do once I actually got to the gym. I often left feeling more discouraged than energized. On top of that, the lack of routine just made everything feel harder. I was tired, stressed,…

Week 5: Stress, Stretching and Scrolling

Okay, real talk—this week  was absolute chaos. My husband was away for work, we had three (yes, THREE) dance recitals, a birthday party, and I was scrambling to finish a bunch of assignments. To be honest, I’m super late posting this update, and for a while I wasn’t even sure what I wanted to write about. I had originally planned to focus on nutrition this week, but between the lack of sleep and the running-around-like-a-maniac energy, that kind of flew out the window. At one point I thought, “Okay, I’ll just push through and do it anyway,” but then I took a step back and realized what I actually needed…

    Generative AI in the Classroom

I’ll be honest – when I first heard about AI tools being used in education, I was a little skeptical. Like many people, I had this image of robots taking over classrooms or students relying on machines to do all the thinking. But the more I’ve learned about it, the more I’ve come to see the incredible (albeit somewhat creepy-realistic) potential AI has – not to replace teachers, but to support them. As someone working in schools while preparing to enter the teaching profession, I can see how complex the role of a teacher has become. Having a tool like AI in the classroom can really help with meeting the…
