Pinterest 101
Hi everyone! To start my post this week I want to share a bulletin board display that I noticed at one of the schools I was subbing at this week. Now that I am learning ASL, I am definitely more aware when I see it displayed in schools! I thought this was a great way to welcome staff, students, and community members into the school
I also wanted to share another great resource for the classroom that I found on Teachers Pay Teachers. From my time as a substitute teacher, I have noticed that most primary classrooms have alphabet posters displayed in the classroom. These alphabet posters that display the letters in ASL are a great way to integrate ASL into the classroom! I think displaying the ASL alphabet aids in creating an inclusive classroom, and gives students a learning challenge if they have some extra time during class. I will definitely be utilizing these once I have my own classroom!
After coming across this resource, I thought it would be cool to research what other resources are out there that I could incorporate into my classroom. I created a Pinterest board to save resource ideas to come back to in the future. Here is the link to my ASL Pinterest Board if you want to take a peak! I am hoping to continue adding to this board in the coming weeks.
Do you incorporate any ASL resources into your classroom? Or if you’re a pre-service teacher, do you have any ideas on how you could incorporate ASL into the classroom?
