W.H Ford JR FIAP Classroom

My love for children and my dream to be a teacher inspired my volunteer work at W.H Ford Elementary School. During my morning spares throughout my first and also final semester of high school I would volunteer in the Junior FIAP program at the school. This volunteering included reading with kids, assisting with feeding and hygiene needs, playing with kids, and helping with their behavioral or special needs. This experience was an affirmation for me that I want to be a teacher. I looked forward to waking up each morning and going to help these students, even on challenging days there was always a rewarding feeling when I left. I look forward to being able to do it as a career one day.
