I Believe…

Inclusive teaching is a priority.

All students deserve to feel respected, appreciated, and heard.

It is the responsibility of the teacher to create a safe space in the classroom.

Invitation and hospitality create a welcoming atmosphere for all.

Indigenous practices, teachings, and ways of being are valuable and important in the classroom and in all subject areas.

Being a teacher is a 24/7 occupation. All people can benefit from education, and as educators it is our job to ensure all members of our communities are educated, both inside and outside of the classroom.
