Every child deserves to be treated fairly and equally and to have basic human rights. Colonized nations have failed and belittled Indigenous children. Indigenous Peoples culture was taken away from them and has had drastic effects on their future generations. In order to grow towards reconciliation, we need to acknowledge Canada’s history and the trauma Indigenous Peoples have been through. Everyone has a purpose and every student deserves to be heard. Students come from all different ethnicity backgrounds; it is crucial to acknowledge their teachings and to let them embrace their beliefs. Teachers have the capability of giving an inclusive, healthy, and successful environment for all students.
