Learning Project Introduction

Hello everyone, I am deciding on learning better healthy habits for my project. I want to bring you on this little over the next couple of weeks. I had a bit of trouble deciding on this but it’s ultimately something I want to do and learn about.

I already ski, bike and play sports but going to the gym isn’t something I enjoy as much as the activities. I want to make a habit of adding gym into my routine as much as I can when I am not biking, running or skiing.

I also cook but don’t keep track of my nutrition, calories and how healthy the food is. Another thing I wish to incorporate into this is meal planning during the weekends. I don’t usually have time during weekdays and tend to end up eating out too often, for example, my parents are in Mexico and all I do for supper is eat out. I have attached a gif of my end results of butter chicken.

I plan to use YouTube such as YouTuber Josh Cortis for meal preps and websites such as ExRx.net for working out.

I hope to learn lots and can use these skills during my 3 week block this semester and my internship, especially meal planning.

Meal planning is such a great way to keep up healthy habits and better manage your meals for the week! I myself tend to meal prep on the weekends due to how much schoolwork I have. I know that you can find so many recipes through the internet, and I tend to find most of mine through TikTok. Good luck on your journey!

  2. I hate doing meal prep! I totally understand where you’re coming from. I recently just started getting back into the gym and meal prep and it is a struggle! I find if I do not meal prep over the weekend for my week while i’m busy with school and work I decide to go out for lunch a lot more. Finding easy recipes for meals during the week is also a struggle. I use Pinterest for my meal ideas during the week but I find it always not the healthiest meals. I will definitely use the resources you provide to share!

  3. Hi Bilal!
This is such a fantastic project! I love how you’re focusing on both fitness and nutrition, it’s an excellent way to get into building healthier habits! Adding the gym to your routine and meal prepping are great steps to make you stay on track! I wasn’t a big fan of butter chicken until one day my stepmom made it, and now I’m a die hard fan of it, so this made my mouth drool! I can’t wait to see where this takes you!
