I Believe

I believe in hands on learning

I believe in an inclusive education

I believe in personal connections with all students

I believe in integrating technology

I believe in working together

I believe in development through observation, mentoring, practice, and effort

I believe that “learning is doing”

I believe teachers should evolve their ways of teaching

I believe teachers should teach for the students

I believe that I need to prepare students for THEIR future

I believe students should be corrected and redirected rather than punished

I chose to include these statements in my portfolio because I feel they help shape my philosophy of education. All of these statements shows my beliefs as a teacher and my way of teaching. Teachers shape students and I feel that these beliefs shape my teaching.
