This week’s focus in my card magic journey was the Swivel Cut – a stylish way to cut the deck that adds an element of flair to any card trick.

Practicing the Swivel Cut

The Swivel Cut is not just about cutting the deck; it’s about doing it with style. It involves holding the deck in one hand, using your other hand to pivot a portion of the deck, and completing the cut. It’s a smooth, elegant move that looks effortless when done right.

Overcoming Challenges

At first, the coordination required for the Swivel Cut felt awkward. However, with persistent practice, the movements are becoming more fluid. The key is to relax the hands and let the cards flow naturally.

Reflections

Learning the Swivel Cut has been both challenging and fun. It’s a beautiful move that adds a professional touch to card handling, and I’m excited to keep improving.
