“Teachings of Life”

The Seven Sacred Teachings

A way of guidance and light

One may choose to follow

To see the world so bright

The Eagle teaches love

A feeling so unconditional

Reciprocal in its ways

Love knows no bound

The Buffalo teaches respect

Respect for one, respect for all

For the lands and lakes

And for all things living

The Bear, so strong and mighty

Teaches courage and strength

Face your enemies from within

And you will become stronger

The Sabe teaches honesty

The belief in oneself

To walk tall, and hold integrity

Behind everything you do

The Beaver carries wisdom

Observe life, gather knowledge

Knowledge brings wisdom

And wisdom brings life

The Wolf shares humility

Be humble and modest

For if we all share

We are all collectively one

The Turtle teaches truth

The most important of all the teachings

For the truth teaches us

To recognize who we truly are

These powerful teachings influence all humans

Young and old, healthy and sick

The truth saves all

Humans, animals, nature, and Earth
