My name is Carlos Orlando Martinez, I was born in Chalchuapa, El Salvador on November 21st. My family immigrated to Canada in November of 2000, first living in Fort Qu’Apelle before settling in Regina in 2004.

My father Ernesto was a life long mechanic before retiring.

My mother Maria was a teacher for many years in our home country, finishing her career as a daycare worker at Regina Adult Campus. My parents are my biggest inspirations and they give me motivation to finish what I started.

My sister Maria has a blooming little family with my 2 nieces Rosalina

and Luna.

I currently live with my amazing girlfriend Shay, who recently graduated from the U of R Registered Nursing program. Some of my hobbies include drawing, playing sports/video games and lifting weights. Anyone who knows me knows I’m a big Dallas Cowboys fan so come fall you can usually find me glued to the TV on Sundays! Enrolling in the Education program was always something I wanted to do, but my life took many twists and turns before getting here. Through those ups and downs, the life experience I gained have helped me become who I am today. Throughout my first year of education, I have learned so much about what it takes to be a teacher and I look forward to tackling any and all challenges that come with my education degree!
