Summary of Learning
Hi everyone! For my Summary of Learning for EC&I 831, I created a PD session for my colleagues called Leveraging Social Media and Digital Tools. It’s designed to be hands-on, practical, and focused on how we can use digital tools to support engagement, curriculum goals, and digital literacy.
The session includes embedded resources, real examples, and space for discussion and collaboration.
My goal is for teachers to leave feeling more confident, inspired, and ready to try something new!

Love this! What a great idea to create a PD session using the information we’ve learned here. I often find myself passing information along to my colleagues, and I really appreciate the effort you put in to formalize it.

Fantastic! I always learn something best after I’ve taught it. One of the biggest benefits of my Grad Studies has been learning things that I can share with others, and your summary of learning has certainly captured that benefit. A science escape room?! That is so creative and innovative to think to use ChatGPT – to me that is remixing because you would have come up with the concept on your own and then used it to expand that, which must have saved hours of work! Thank you for sharing, I loved listening and hearing how you are incorporating this all into your own teaching! Great job!
I’ve always wanted to do fun escape room type activities, especially in Physical Science 20, because it is a heavy-content course! I’ve just never had the time/motivation to make one because I thought it would take forever lol! I am so happy that ChatGPT could make it for me.
I have also recently asked it “What are some fun, quick science demos for high school students?” and it came up with so many! It also linked them to different topics. I am so excited to do these with my classes!
